Philly born R&B-Pop singer serenades her audience through her soothing vocal tonality and vibrant-hypnotic energy. Born in Philly, she was raised learning harmonies and melodies of gospel music her mother played around the house. Dawn found inspiration from a myriad of artists in her upbringing such as Aretha Franklin, Prince, Minnie Riperton, and Backstreet Boys. Growing up in a highly eclectic era of music, she took interest in various genres including alternative rock, pop, ambient electronic, and her core inspiration vocal inspiration R&B/Soul. In 2017, she moved to Brooklyn and started recording songs on Garageband. In 2018, Dawn ventured out to her dream city, Los Angeles, CA. She recorded her first studio single Meditate in a bedroom studio in Echo Park, followed by her self-titled project, MAYA DAWN EP.
